Games and Sports Facilities:
The institution is conducting sports and games activities to its students and conducts intramurals Sports competitions during every semester/academic year. The institutions are also organizing Inter Engineering Collegiate in volley ball and table tennis tournament during 28th-29th January 2008. Prize with Rs.15, 000/- is announced for the winners of the tournament.
Extra Curriculum Activities:
The institution is conducting various extra curricular activities regularly for the development of its students. A seminar committee has been operating under the guidance of all HOD�fs to conduct in house students�f seminars and group discussion regularly student debates are also arranged for the students. Traning & Placement Cell
The Placement cell of Lords was established with an aim of making the students realize their dream & train themselves to show case the skills that companies are looking for. Placement cell is also responsible for Training interpersonal & soft skills. Inculcating the professional qualities & imparting the leadership traits are also the fundamental goals of Placement Cell. In this connection several workshops, Guest lectures & Training sessions have been conducted for the benefit of students.
Since the inception of college in 2003, several student - interaction oriented programmes were conducted to enhance the quality of professionalism present in the students. State level & National Level Technical symposiums were conducted to expose the students to a competitive world. Many competitions like Quiz, Budding Manager, Paper Presentation & Poster Presentation were conducted to test the students on various platforms. When the students entered their third year, a need for establishing an independent body which can look after various training & Placement Activities was sensed, thus paving the way of formulating Placement Committee that comprises of Placement Officer, Coordinator and selected students of all the semesters & branches. The full fledged activities of training & Placement cell started in Jan 2007.
The following services shall be rendered to the students of our educational organizations:
Regular lectures on Career & Placements, Communication & Interview skills to be conducted.
MOUs to be signed with quality organizations for workshops, seminars, certified courses, Training & Placement programmes.
Free Overseas education services to be provided to all the students. The services include Free coaching to GRE/TOEFL/IELTS exams, application processing, Visa Guidance, Bank loan assistance etc.
To motivate & guide the students to participate in any happening off campus drives.
To coordinate and organize the On campus recruitment drives for all the students.
To regularly conduct career counseling sessions for faculty & Students.
The Activity list of Training & Placement Cell in 2007:
Registered with JKC-IEG programme that trains & place students in Software giants.
Promoted Professional Aptitude Council ( PAC) & registered 20 students who wrote PAC exam & fared well.
To sign MOUs with CMC, a Tata Enterprise, for SCOPE programme. 40 students of 2008 pass out batch registered & are getting trained in different software courses.
NITEO IT Solutions visited campus & conducted recruitments & selected 3 candidates for their company.
Six students placed in WIPRO through JKC.
One student placed in TATA Elxi in Bangalore with a very good pay package.
The students have applied & attended interviews in following organizations & are awaiting the call letters: Reliance, Brigade- Tech Support, Wipro Infotech -ITES, Syntel, Thompson corporation, OCTL, etc.
Training & Placement cell also encourages students to go ahead with Over seas education in pursuing MS & MBAs. For this we had installed a stall in collaboration with the Princeton Review Consultants, who are the pioneers in this field, during Sanketika 2007 where free counseling sessions for the participants.
MOU is under process with Aim Educational Academy consultants who are in tie up with various reputed Universities in UK,USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland etc. In collaboration with them T&P cell is providing free GRE/TOEFL/IELTS coaching to students. Free services in Application Processing & VISA guidance & Bank Loan guidances are given. Due to this, 60% of the students are trying for Masters in reputed Universities & most of them have received their I-20s.
Off Campus drive conducted in the college campus for Mirage Logic, a Bangalore based MNC. Interviews were conducted for 2000 candidates in a three-day recruitment event. 45 candidates were issued with offer letters instantly. A total of 15 LORDS students were placed in MIRAGE LOGIC & ABB during this drive.
Upcoming Projects:
To coordinate & organize a Job Factor show in collaboration with Punditz Consultants & Maa TV.
i). The Job factor show is a platform for thousands of students who shall be participating in all the patterns of interviewing tests for 5 to 7 companies.
ii). LIET shall be one of the hosts for this state level mega event.
Off campus interviews to be conducted for Satyam. 2008 pass-out Students of LIET shall be forwarded for participation.
MOUs to be signed with NITEO IT solutions for On campus delivery of certified courses & there by placement programme for the trained candidates.
CMC scope programme to be introduced to the students interested to work on JAVA & .NET domains. It could also prove to be a good placement tool for the college.
For the students interested to explore the streams of VLSI, Embedded systems, wireless technologies and mobile communication; domain specified seminars, workshops & Placement events shall be organized in campus in collaboration with UTL Technologies Ltd., Bangalore.
Tie up with Mirage Logic, Bangalore for half yearly recruitment drives.
Discussions are going on with Genpact for IT recruitments.

ACTIVITIES
Since its inception, LIET has been a fore runner in organizing student oriented activities for the intellectual benefit of the students. The activity list includes not only technical but also cultural, sports and career related events. In the second year of it’s functioning, LIET made a mark by organizing a national level Technical Symposium called “ SANKETIKA” which was acclaimed a great success and thus inspired us to conduct the event at a national level again and again every year . Organizing a state level event at such a young age proved the mettle of the management and faculty of Lords.
The monthly activities include seminars, workshops and expert guest lectures.
One of the highest priorities is the guest lectures. We strongly believe that for the students to go out and face the world, they need to know the latest trends in the profession they are into. For this we arrange for interactions with eminent working professionals from the industry.

We also have a canteen for the students, sports facilities, 100KVA generator, fleet of buses, security arrangements, memberships in various academic and student-interested bodies like IEEE, ISTE, NCC etc.
The administration, library and academic sections are all computerized. The college maintains an official website. Career counseling and other required help for students is provided by the Training and Placement cell.
The sprawling campus of LIET amidst a serene environment is highly conducive for academic pursuit. In addition, the excellent labs and computer centers, the well stocked Library and Information Centre, Sports and indoor and outdoor games are amongst the many facilities which the students avail.

Dr.I.A Pasha was born on 06.08.1963 and obtained his Bachelor Degree in Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Andhra University in 1986 and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) from college of Engineering, JNT University, Kakinada in 1988 with Distinction. He has been awarded with Ph.D degree inECE based on his research work in the areas of Radar Signal Design and Processing by Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has performed his research work under the guidance of Dr.P.S.Moharir and Dr.V.M.Pandharipande. During 16 Years of his teaching experience, he worked as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor and professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering and has been honored with the best teacher award in 1992. He took the responsibility as Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering for more than 6years during his services. He has organized National level and State level Technical Summits in various Institutions. He has published 15 research papers in the National, International journals and conferences in the area of Radar signal design and communications in AMSE (France), IEEE,IETE etc. He has guided two M.S.Projects and referred a technical paper of IEEE Proceedings of Radar, Sonar and Navigation. His Current areas of interest are Radar communication, Microwave Engineering, Spread Spectrum communication. He is the member of institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
